I have come to realize that my passion for needlework has expanded and evolved over time into something much more than just Petit Point that I am still passionate about due to the possibility to depict so many details in a small area. I have found a deep connection with this form of needlework art, and it has become a way for me to enjoy and heal. What began as a hobby has blossomed into a multifaceted creative outlet where I can channel my thoughts, feelings, ideas, and life experiences through mixed media, 3D textile art, and other innovative approaches.

The simple act of working with needle and thread has become a means of pouring my soul onto the canvas, using the textures of fiber and fabric to describe tangible forms of joy, pain, and personal growth I have undergone.

As my needlework journey progressed, I discovered the beauty of mixed media and 3D textile art. These techniques opened a whole new world of possibilities for me to explore and express myself. By incorporating various materials and textures into my needlework, I can create pieces that truly reflect the depth and complexity of my thoughts, feelings and emotions. It is through this fusion of different mediums that I can bring my ideas to life in a unique and captivating way.

My deep-rooted Russian cultural heritage has greatly influenced my needlework. The Russian Pearl and Goldwork embroidery techniques have been passed down through generations in my family, and it holds a special place in my heart. I aim to showcase the beauty and intricacy of Russian Pearl embroidery, sharing its history, techniques, and the stories behind each piece. I present my needle artwork by using traditional Russian techniques of Pearl and Goldwork embroidery in innovative way expressing myself. By doing so, I hope to preserve and promote this rich cultural heritage, inspiring others to appreciate and explore the world of Russian embroidery.
